The Rotary Club of Mackay North Troppo Market is organised and operated by the Rotary Club of Mackay North Inc. Members of the Club volunteer their services to supporting the community. Due to current Covid 19 restrictions the following rules must be followed by all site holders until further advised.
All site holders along with any other person/s working on their stall must register their name, address, and contact phone number to the market coordinator. These details will be kept for the current allowed time as per government requirements and destroyed following this.
Any site holder and their workers that are unwell must not attend the market.
Sites can only be run by a maximum of two people per single site at a time. Multiple sites can have two people per site.
All sites must prominently display a 1.5m distancing sign and have chalked spots marked outside site to advise on best positions for customers.
Due to new layout of market sites there is an allowance for customers to enter between sites to allow distancing and help stall owners to expand display area.
All site holders must supply at least one bottle of hand sanitiser for customer use.
Any site that allows customers to handle goods prior to sale must ensure hand sanitiser is used beforehand.
Sites offering children’s entertainment like rides and face painting are not allowed until advised by government regulations.
Sites that involve handling of customers such as face painting, hentai tattoos, massage, palm readings, etc are not allowed until advised by government regulations.
Stall holders are encouraged to use cashless payments wherever possible.
Any site providing food and drink for consumption at the market must comply with Mackay Regional Council regulations.
