Full description of intended operation

When you submit these details, the market manager will automatically place you on the waiting list if you are applying for a regular site and will only advise you by email or phone to offer you a site at a particular market. He will not verify receipt of your application.

In times of high demand and when the market is fully booked, the market manager will be occupied looking after those stallholders already booked.  If you have not had a response by email or by phone by 48 hours prior to the market, you can safely assume the market has been booked out and your application has failed. But all is not lost - in some cases there will be "late scratchings" so you could receive an invitation 12 hours prior to the market. Some stallholders just turn up on the day hoping for a vacant site and can be successful (no guarantee).  If a stallholder has not arrived by 7 a.m. their site will be reallocated".
